5K a year Heritage Oaks Veterinary Hospital is in search of positive and energetic individuals to assist the veterinarian and other hospital staff in the care of patients.
This position would include duties such as:
completing patient treatments, providing compassionate nursing care, making certain all patients are kept clean and comfortable, assisting in surgery preparation, drawing up vaccines, preparing patient samples for diagnostics, and housekeeping around the hospital.
Our ideal candidate would be friendly, outgoing, and have excellent communication skills.
You should be capable of being cross-trained for minor receptionist duties (such as answering and placing calls on hold) and have telephone and computer skills.
Our hospital works as a team, and we would expect you to be a team player and willing to lean new techniques, treatments, and to accept change as we continue to learn and grow ourselves.
This role includes housekeeping and maintenance of the hospital, and you would need to ensure the entire hospital (including treatment, surgery, kennels, and entry) is kept extremely clean throughout the day.
This includes your own clothing and appearance.
Ideally, you would need to be able to lift around 40 pounds, be dependable, and self-motivated.
